If you are looking for a beautiful country get away in Wales, we would highly recommend staying at the shepherds hut. You definitely feel that you are in and among nature. If you are lucky enough to have clear skies, the stars are beautiful. And if you like waking up surrounded by sheep this is perfect! It was the getaway we both really needed and to be hosted by such kind, caring people who don’t only restore nature but restore your faith in people.

If you’re after a relaxing, cozy break this is the place for you. The hut is cozy and warm in a beautiful location surrounded by wonderful scenery. We spent our time making the most of the hut, reading, making a fire and birdwatching. Sheer bliss. Having stayed in other shepherds huts this is by far the best. Thanks again for the wonderful stay.

This is the most magical shepherds hut, set in beautiful countryside and with fantastic facilities. We wished we’d stayed longer! Waking up to have breakfast with our sheep neighbours, surrounded by a chorus of birds and seeing a woodpecker close up were particular highlights. Sam was the perfect host, giving us lots of fabulous recommendations to enjoy the area. Cefnmachlly’s Farm is medicine for the soul. I couldn’t recommend it more highly, we will be back soon!
